The first of many original surreal paintings to come, this is the beginning of a new period of artistic development focused on modern symbolism artwork with a very surreal flair. This is another story of the garden, a theme revisited more than once. The irony is that the beginning of this period of artistic development is marked by a kind of wrapping up of previous projects. This particular original surreal painting was actually started a number of years ago and completed in 2004. Ditto with the major surreal pen and ink series of the last period (1995-1997), the work that completes that series is also one of the first works completed in the new period.
