Contemporary surrealism fine art closeup
Fine artwork: Contemporary surrealism: Fairy wings
An original work of contemporary surrealism, the third in a series and the last major fine artwork for this period (1995-1997). By the time this work is created the fairy has broken into two separate symbols for one ideal (look for the fairy wings). The fairy has become a symbol for the artist's imagination. On one hand there is the artist mannequin with paper fairy wings taped to the back (physical reality) and on the other is the Pain, Anger and Sorrow (tapped by the artist) peering directly through the fairy wings at the audience.
