  • Artist notes: This small ink sketch was created in an effort to get MORE Art into my life. The BIG pencil drawings sometimes take a YEAR to complete AND, sometimes I just feel a need to break my mind open with new patterns and some non-realism. That's where an ink sketch REALLY works well. You could say Klimt calls, ditto with Beardsley. LOL. I have to admit that it feels good to be breaking out the pen-and-ink pens once again to make Art. Playing with the line. Black and white is beautiful and strange surreal ink sketches are fun. LOL. It also feels GOOD to get more than ONE work of Art done in a year. I'm actually feeling quite prolific at the moment. Wow, THAT's a VERY nice feeling. ....and I kinda like these little guys. These little ink sketches and doodles are VERY relaxing. No stress baby. Anyway. This drawing is about a line. That's how it starts out: a simple line. Then the line turns a corner and expands/changes ....and then it turns another corner and changes again....and... You could call this the Soliloquy (of a line) ...caught on paper.
